I'm Sick
My neck is killing me
I get a 4 day weekend because my new job is a government job and I get all holidays off, but I got sick yesterday with some sort of flu. My neck and shoulders are very stiff and sore. My neck feels like it's swollen because it's hard to swallow. Waaaaaaa waaaa waaaaa :(

28 - time to control
I was offered a position as an animal control officer for the county of Orange last Thursday. The whole application / hiring process has been over 2 months! My last step before I start is to take a physical.
I turned 28 last Friday. I haven't really felt any different since I turned 21. 22 was a good year and then after that it's just been the same! I'm sure 30 will be different.

Tomorrow I will be doing a ride along with an animal control officer in orange county. I am in the process of applying for a job with them. Should be interesting.
iPods and USB 2.0
my issues with them
I have a video ipod and USB 1.0 on my computer. USB 1.0 is really slow, so I purchased a USB 2.0 pci card and installed it. Guess what? It didn't work, so I got a refund for it and purchased another one. Guess again? It didn't work. Now I'm waiting to see if I can get a refund for this one too. The new winamp is supposed to support ipods, but I couldn't get it to work. I had to install itunes which is a pile. After fiddling around with the ipod I realized that you can only put certain videos on it (apple supported ones). That's a waste. I found a program that allows me to convert various video formats to a supported ipod format. It works, but I find it to be retarded that I have to convert them in the 1st place.

what the heck is wrong with my computer
Today photoshop and illustrator both aren't working. I've been having trouble with my computer for months now. This past week has given me the most frustration because things are just not working right. I want to build a new computer or get a laptop, but I also want to wait for Microsoft Vista which comes out early next year. Oh the humanity.
